"The Art of Songwriting" with Kristian Bush

Kristian Bush, known for his Grammy Award-winning group, Sugarland, is also known for describing songwriting as “dark magic.” What makes one song a hit? How do you know what will last for generations or be a passing fad? Kristian is gathering a group of songwriters in the main concert hall, and in this session you’ll get to listen in as they exchange stories, ideas, challenges, and perspectives on Nashville’s sacred art form.

Date: Saturday Session 2 (only) | Location: Main Stage

"Exploring the New World of NFTs" with NFT Nashville

John Mediana and Jesse Ross, co-founders of NFT Nashville – the city’s first NFT community – will guide a discussion about this new world of “non-fungible tokens.” What are NFTs? How can they be used? Is it all hype? How will they matter in my life? Joining their discussion is renowned photographer, Jeremy Cowart (session one) and gifted classical composer, Cristina Spinei (session 2), to offer context for the intersection of art and technology, and discuss what’s next to come.

Date: Saturday Session 1 & Saturday Session 2 | Location: Mike Curb Room

"The First Sentence of Our Lives" with Michael McRay

If you had to write a book about your life, what would your sentence be? Professional storytelling and conflict resolution consultant, and of our TEDxNashville 2022 speakers, Michael McRay, will lead an intimate session focused on the power of storytelling to communicate who we are to the world. Join Michael as he guides us through a workshop designed to inspire curiosity for our own stories, and to practice curiosity for others.

Date: Sunday Session 1 and 2 | Location: Board Room

The Unconventional Art Exhibit

In addition to our talks this year, we are excited to produce the first “Unconventional Art Exhibit.” This popup gallery will highlight local artists – including Herb Williams, Denise Stewart-Sanabria, and Pam Taylor – pushing the boundaries on what we consider to be “fine art.” Presented with the support of Jerry’s Artarama, and curated by 2022 speaker, Danielle Krysa, this exhibit is an extension of TEDxNashville’s mission to discover and elevate creative ideas in Nashville and beyond.
