Mixtape: JP Saxe and Daisha McBride

TEDxNashville Mixtape
August 19 | Analog at Hutton Hotel
Four questions. Four songs. One life told through music.
What song reminds you who you used to be?
What song carried you through something difficult?
What song changed the direction of your life?
At TEDxNashville Mixtape, there’s only one rule:
Every answer has to be a song.
This time, JP Saxe and Daisha McBride (The Rap Girl) take the stage—not to perform their music, but to share the music that shaped them.
Before the event, we ask each guest four questions about their life. They choose four songs in response.
Then, together with host Shaka Mitchell, we press play.
We listen to the songs. We hear the stories behind them. And somewhere between the music and the memories, something unexpected happens: their stories start reminding us of our own.
Expect laughter. Nostalgia. Heartbreak. Surprises. Songs you forgot you loved. Songs you’ve never heard before. And stories that might change the way you hear them forever.
It’s part live interview, part listening party, and part social experiment in the power of music to connect us.
Because every life has a soundtrack.
Come hear theirs.
