We call them ghosts.

But what are we actually experiencing?

On October 28, The Science of Woo: Ghosts brings together researchers and storytellers to explore what science can—and can’t—tell us about hauntings, apparitions, and the mysterious sensation of a presence we cannot see.

We’ll examine the psychology and neuroscience of extraordinary experiences, the surprisingly consistent patterns found in reports of hauntings, and the question that remains after all the explanations have been considered:
