The Science of Woo: “Intuition”

INTUITION

All tickets are sold out!

What happens when we listen to that inner voice?

Every day, we make decisions based on information we can’t fully explain.

A feeling that something is right.
A warning we can’t quite articulate.
A flash of knowing that arrives before the evidence.

Some call it intuition.
Some call it instinct.
Some call it mindfulness.
Some believe it connects us to something beyond ourselves.

What if these experiences aren’t all separate?

INTUITION is an immersive evening exploring one of the most mysterious—and universal—forms of human intelligence.

Bringing together a Harvard psychologist, a Grammy-winning musician, and one of America’s most sought-after psychic mediums, we’ll explore intuition from three radically different perspectives: science, creativity, and lived experience.

Through research, music, conversation, and guided exploration, we’ll ask:

  • What is intuition?
  • Where does it come from?
  • Why do some people seem to access it more easily?
  • And when should we trust it?

Whether you’re deeply intuitive, highly skeptical, or simply curious, this evening isn’t about telling you what to believe.

It’s about exploring one of the oldest questions humanity has ever asked.

Featured Speakers

Ellen Langer

Harvard psychologist • Pioneer of mindfulness research

In 1981, Ellen Langer became the first woman ever granted tenure in psychology at Harvard University.

Often called the “Mother of Mindfulness,” her groundbreaking research has transformed how we think about consciousness, decision-making, aging, and the relationship between mind and body.

Her famous Counterclockwise study challenged assumptions about aging by demonstrating that changing our mental environment can produce measurable physical changes. Her newest book, The Mindful Body, argues that our minds influence our health far more than modern medicine has traditionally acknowledged.

For more than forty years, Dr. Langer has challenged one of science’s biggest assumptions—that our conscious minds play only a small role in shaping our lives.

At INTUITION, she’ll explore what science can—and can’t—tell us about the hidden intelligence operating beneath conscious awareness.

Tommy Emmanuel

Grammy Award-winning guitarist • One of the world’s greatest living musicians

For more than sixty years, Tommy Emmanuel has captivated audiences with performances that blur the line between technical mastery and pure musical expression.

A Grammy Award winner and one of only five musicians ever named a Certified Guitar Player by his mentor Chet Atkins, Tommy has performed everywhere from Carnegie Hall to the Sydney Opera House and collaborated with artists including Les Paul, Mark Knopfler, Billy Strings, and many more.

His newest album, Living in the Light, was recorded largely in one or two takes, embracing spontaneity, presence, and the energy of the moment.

At INTUITION, Tommy will join us for a rare conversation about creativity, improvisation, and what happens when decades of practice allow instinct to lead the way.

Frank Castellano

Sixth-generation psychic medium

For almost three decades, Frank Castellano has helped thousands of people navigate life’s biggest questions through intuitive guidance and mediumship.

Born into a family of psychic mediums, Frank says he has perceived non-physical beings for as long as he can remember. As a teenager, he assisted California law enforcement with missing persons and criminal investigations before serving honorably in the U.S. military.

Today, his Nashville practice, The Spirit Chrysalis, maintains a two-year waiting list.

Regardless of what you believe about psychic phenomena, Frank offers a rare opportunity to examine intuition through the lens of someone who has built an entire life around experiences that challenge conventional explanations.

Rather than asking audiences to suspend disbelief, Frank invites a different question:

What if intuition isn’t about predicting the future—but learning to trust what you already know?
